How To Raise A Child Who Loves The Earth

Tip # 1: Immerse yourself in nature
The simplest way to encourage your child to love nature is to immerse in nature simply. Start with a simple tent in the backyard and play some games to make it fun! Or you can also visit the country’s national parks!

Tip # 2: Get your child interested in a young age
Take your child out. Let them collect earthy things like leaves, rocks or anything that is appealing to them. It can also be as simple as collecting items and put them in small bags.

Tip # 3: Let them get dirty
Kids never stay away from mud and soil. An excellent way to encourage kids is to start planting and get their hands dirty. They can always wash their hands later.

Tip # 4: Frolic in the rain
Ditch myths that rainy days cause colds. Let them have some serious splashtivity and fun! Get ready some dry clothes and towels when they are ready to return home.

Tip # 5: Slow down
When you are outside in nature with your kids, make sure to slow down. Let them point out things they see. You will be surprised at the things they ask and state out.

Tip # 6: Jungle trekking and camping
For a complete nature immersion experience, try jungle trekking and pitching a tent! Your child will be very excited even though it will be a little tiring for them. They are picking up on the fact that there is a bigger world out there and is curious about it. If you aren’t ready to sleep in the woods, you can always try a backyard campout. Light a fire, pull up a log, and make some s’mores of your own!

We’re living in the 21st century. If we don’t change for the better for our home, who will? Let’s all start even if it’s the least we can do.
