A spin class in Singapore, despite how it may sound, is not a class where they teach you to turn around in circles.

Instead, it is a fitness session where participants cycle vigorously on exercise bikes. These classes are usually guided by energetic coaches and set to the tune of some high octane music.

If you want to join a spin class, make sure you’re in the pink of health as they can be quite physically demanding. Spin classes usually help you burn between 500 kcals or more per hour, and will also help train your endurance.

There are several gyms and fitness centres offering spin classes in Singapore. Chances are, there’s a spin class near you.

Here are some places to check out:

Popsicle Rhythmic Cycling

Prepare for a High Octane Spin Class in Singapore

Spin classes are designed to mimic clubbing, where instead of hitting the dance floor, you move and groove on a stationary bike instead.

However, they can be quite intense as a workout even at a beginner level.

Make sure you’re fit and healthy enough to join one, as there are cases of participants having rhabdomyolysis, a breakdown or muscles from over-exertion.

If you’re concerned, do seek medical advice before starting your spinning classes.
