Income Insurance today announced the return of the Income Eco Run (IER) 2026, its flagship sustainability event, which will take place on 19 April 2026 at a new venue, the Bayfront Event Space.

Building on its strong momentum from previous editions, the carbon-neutral run continues to rally the community around climate-positive action under its enduring theme, “How Far Will You Go for Zero Waste?”

Designed to be inclusive and family-friendly, Income Eco Run 2026 introduces new run distances to welcome more participants of all ages, and even pets, while deepening its advocacy for zero-waste living by encouraging more sustainable everyday habits.

Expanding Inclusivity Through New Run Distance Options

This year’s IER will offer additional distance options for kids and pets in addition to its familiar range of run categories for participants of all ages, including the 21.1 km, 15 km, 10 km, 5 km, and 3 km runs.

Young runners aged 4-9 years old can take part in the classic 700 m kids’ dash, while the older kids aged 10-12 years old can take on a new and bigger challenge to run 1.2 km for zero waste.

The Pets category will also expand with two distance options; similarly, a 700 m or 1.2 km run will welcome both dogs and cats, with up to two owners per pet.

These additions reinforce IER as a run for everyone, bringing together more individuals, families, children, and pet owners through shared experiences anchored in sustainability and well-being.

Driving Climate Action Through Fundraising

Income Insurance will continue its commitment to environmental impact by donating $1 for every kilometre clocked at Income Eco Run 2026 to support a green cause.

Past initiatives include supporting learning journeys for educators and primary and secondary school students to nurture the next generation of eco-warriors.

Strengthening Zero-Waste Practices On and Beyond Event Day

IER 2026 will continue to strengthen zero-waste practices through the following collective action on waste management and conscious use of materials at the event:

In addition, Income Eco Run will launch new eco-learning journeys post-event that allow children to learn more about the circular economy as part of sustainable practices they partake in at IER.

As part of the new ‘Eco Experience’ initiative, children can explore first-hand how e-waste is recycled at ALBA e-waste’s facility and how plastic-free paper cups and banana peels from the run are composted by ENTO Industries.

Other options include an interactive sustainability learning journey by WWF-Singapore at Fairprice’s flagship sustainable store to learn about eco labels and green practices that individuals can adopt as part of their grocery runs.

Child participants will have the opportunity to register as a parent-child pair for one of these post-event eco excursions with the green partners, designed to nurture the next generation of eco advocates for young participants to learn about sustainability in fun and engaging ways. (Limited slots will be available, on a first-come, first-served basis.)

Income Eco Run 2026 builds on the success of its green initiatives since the event’s inception in 2023, which demonstrated measurable environmental impact across the last three years, including:

“The Income Eco Run demonstrates how large-scale events can be thoughtfully designed with sustainability at their core. Each year, we continue to strengthen our advocacy by raising awareness, guiding participants towards practical, everyday actions, and enabling them to contribute tangibly to environmental causes. Throughout the run, every kilometre clocked directly supports a green cause, while on event day, participants are encouraged to practise simple, sustainable habits that reduce waste. Beyond the run itself, new initiatives such as our Eco Experience learning journeys for our younger participants extend this experience to families and children, nurturing eco-friendly habits from an early age. Together, these efforts reflect our ongoing commitment to making zero-waste and sustainable living a natural part of everyday life.”

Reinforcing Reuse: Optional Sustainability-Designed Event Tee

Income Eco Run 2026 will introduce an optional sustainability-themed event T-shirt, created in collaboration with local illustrator Tammy Chew of @teechewpaper.

Staying true to the event’s long-standing ‘wear-your-own-tee’ ethos, the commemorative design is offered as an opt-in choice for participants who wish to do so, rather than a default.

Priced at $10, the running T-shirts are made from recycled water bottles transformed into recycled yarn and feature an evergreen design intended to encourage continued wear beyond event day.

This approach reinforces Income Eco Run’s commitment to reducing waste by prioritising reuse over single-use event merchandise.

Income Eco Run is offering a Buddy Promo and a Trio Promo, allowing groups of two and three to enjoy promotional pricing together.
