What Fun Activity Could You Do With Flashcards?

Jump and Say – Line the cards in a straight row with space in between on the floor. Have your kids jump and say what was written on the flashcards. You change things up by making the flashcards laying out in a circle or make it into a race who’s the fastest.

Scavenger Hunting – Find the items that match the flashcards your kids want to play. For example, if you are playing a coloured flashcard, find the things that match the colour of the flashcard.

Guessing Game – This game is similar to charades. Let the little sister or you yourself act out the image on the flashcard (that is stuck on your little boy forehead!), so your little boy can guess what it is. He has to ask questions to get the correct answer.

Memory Game – You will need the picture flashcard and the written word card for this game or two pairs of the same flashcards. Lay the flashcards facedown, and your kids need to flip the cards in hopes they get the exact one that matches.

Missing Card Game – Lay the flashcard and have your kids memorise it. Let your kids close their eyes and took one of the cards. When they open their eyes, they have to guess which was missing.

Impromptu Story Telling – Lay a few flashcards down and have either you or your kids start to make a storyline from it. This activity can enhance their imagination and creativity while they are having fun with the other playmates (and you!). Talking about killing two birds with one stone.

There is a lot of other fun and beneficial activities you can do with the flashcards. You just have to be a little more creative with it. Trust me, it really helps a lot in our kids’ development. Have fun while learning with flashcards exclusive from Mamahood today!
