FairPrice Group (FPG) announced today that it is bringing back Share-a-Textbook, Singapore’s largest textbook donation drive, for its 43rd edition.
Through the programme, FPG aims to rally all in Singapore to support underprivileged students with accessing the education essentials they need to start the 2026 school year strong.
From 13 to 26 November 2025, FPG is encouraging members of the public to donate pre-loved and MOE-approved textbooks at any FairPrice Xtra hypermarket across the island or at Tzu Chi Humanistic Youth Centre. Following the conclusion of the donation drive, volunteers from 33 of FPG’s community and corporate partners will help sort the textbooks for distribution, which will take place on 5 and 6 December 2025 at Tzu Chi Humanistic Youth Centre.
Share-A-Textbook was first launched in 1982 to support the education needs of vulnerable students and families.
To date, more than seven million textbooks have been donated to nearly 300,000 students through the drive. Since its launch, the flagship initiative has grown to become Singapore’s largest textbook donation drive, supporting student beneficiaries of schools, community organisations, and the general public with accessing basic educational resources.
Share-A-Textbook is part of FPG’s wider commitment to make every day a little better by keeping daily essentials within reach for all in Singapore.
This year’s drive is the latest in a series of initiatives launched by FPG and FPF to engage Singaporeans in the heartlands and support residents with building stronger, more resilient communities. These include:
- A Full Plate: Singapore’s largest food donation drive to provide communities in need with nutritious groceries and hot meals.
- The expansion of the Neighbourhood Food Share initiative to the 60 distribution points by the end of 2025, providing communities in need with fresh fruits and vegetables for free.
- The Cheers Breakfast Club, providing more than 12,000 Primary 6 students with nutritious breakfast bundles to start their examinations strong.
- The doubling of discounts for CHAS Blue and Orange cardholders with large families from September to December 2025.
- The launch of The Carbon Gallery, Asia’s first carbon-focused educational and experiential gallery aimed at empowering heartland residents with the knowledge they need to make better choices for the planet.
