5 Easy Cycling Routes For Beginners
First up is the list of easy routes cycling. These routes are recommended for beginners and are family-friendly trails.
#1 Marina Bay Loop
Interested in seeing the city view of Singapore? Or the beautiful sunset in the evening? Be sure to take this route!
The length of this loop is around 11km. The starting point is at Marina Bay Sands, from there you can make your way across the Helix Bridge then continue on the Esplanade and Merlion.

Getting there: Take bus 84 from Punggol Interchange
#4 East Coast Loop
If you are a true Singaporean, you must have been to East Coast Park. This would be the perfect place to spend time riding your bikes with your families. This loop stretches across 15km, you will cycle plenty here.

After enjoying the breeze via bikes, you surely need to take a break, right? Head on to Marine Parade where there are a lot of food centres such as the Lagoon and East Coast Food Centre. After hard work, you need a delicious meal, right?
To get to this park, you need to take bus 401 from Bedok Interchange. If you fancy a night ride, this place provides!

5 Intermediate – Hard Cycling Routes For Pros
#1 Southern Ridges Loop
First on our intermediate list is the Southern Ridges loop. With a distance of 9km, you can enjoy the open space through luscious green across Mount Faber Park and Telok Blangah Hill
If you interested to bike here, you can rent your bike too. What you will find here is a steep hill terrain, so on your bikes, switch to the lowest gear when moving uphill.
Start at South Buona Vista Road, cycle until you meet the 80m-long Alexandra Arch, popularly known as a ‘Gateway to Nature’. Here they have the Forest Walk, it where you can experience the dense secondary forest of Telok Blangah Hill.
The picture above is the Hnderson Waves. Have break and take lots of pictures to savour the moment! You might even find rare birds here such as the Drongo and Yellow Oriole.
For our love birds, catch a glimpse of the view at one of the city’s most romantic viewpoints at Mount Faber. Fret not, they also provide a hill-top dining here after a long day of cycling.
To get here, get off at Harbourfort Station, exirt D on Marang Road. This will take you to the cable car station on Mount Faber.

#2 Eastern Coastal Loop
Next on our list is the East Coast Park to Pasir Ris Park. Breathtaking view, Eastern Coastal Lopp with leave you speechless of its trail rich with coastal landscapes.
Not only you can indulge in the sea breeze, but there is a line of tasty foods at East Coast Lagoon Food Village such as satay, sambal stingray, chicken wings and more! Eat till your heart desires before embarking on a long journey along Eastern Coastal Loop.
This route surely gives your inner food hunting craving, a fix!
But if you prefer more of an urban setting, head in the opposite direction from East Coast Park. There, your journey starts through Gardens by the Bay and towards Marina Barrage then to Marina Bay skyline. Breath-taking!
There are a lot of bikes along this trail, you wouldn’t miss it! To get to this location get off Bedok station, take Bus 36/48/196 to Marine Parade Road, and cross from the East Coast Parkway (ECP Highway) to East Coast Park via the pedestrian underpass.

Distance: Changi (20km) Marina Bay Sands (27km)
#3 Singapore Round Island Loop
Up for a challenge? A higher-level cyclist would take up this challenge! The minimum distance is still 120km and you will also be covering a mixture of roads, park connectors and gravel.
This route is not for the weak-hearted, for sure! Prep your gear and stamina before making this journey your goal. Sure there are ups and downs to this route, but you can actually experience Singapore firsthand.
On the 160km route, visit the fabled Lamp Post 1 at Tuas. If you crave the beauty of the environment? Head on to Kranji or better, catch the sunrise from Punggol or East Coast Park. Don’t forget to take a lot of picture while you are there. Surely it is an unforgettable moment!
