Five Super Cool Gifts For Boys And Girls

Are you looking out for gift ideas for children at this time of year? I usually don’t do gifts unless it’s my children’s birthdays and Christmas. So this is the time I look around for suitable gifts.

The thing with gifts is that I don’t like them to be wasted in terms of them not being played with or used. So I tend to put a little more thought into something that I think can really hold their attention and interest for some time.

Apart from that, I also try to match their interests to the gifts, or trying to draw out new ones by introducing something new to fascinate them.

It’s also a bonus if the gifts can involve the family to spend time together in using them. Am I asking for a lot out of a simple gift to my children? Perhaps I am…but I come out most satisfied when I find one that fits all my criteria.

For this year, these five things top my list of possible gifts to my boys. Check them out.

Five Cool Gift Ideas For Children

In no particular order, here are the suggested gifts for your little ones:

Artie 3000 Coding Robot

Get your kids to learn coding the fun way at an early age with this coding robot. Young children can get introduced to the basics of coding with this. It comes with pre-programmed codes and you can also write your own. One of the fun part is that as the child codes, the robot will draw!

This coding robot is STEAM powered.

Suitable for children aged seven and above.

Fairy Light Garden

What a great way to encourage young children to learn about gardening by starting them on this Fairy Light Garden set. Let them plant some seeds and grow a garden and flowers in this playset.

Kids can create their very own garden and spend time nurturing it. The water wheel pumps water to water the garden. As an indoor playset, it has a soft light that can be used as a night light. It also plays gentle harp music.

This playset is suitable for children from the age of four.

Last Defense! Board Game

If your children love board games, Last Defense! may be a great idea of a family-involved game. In this game, players work together to save the world from alien invasions and spider robots by rescuing scientists and collecting tools before they run out of time.

This game caters well if you want a quick game and not spend long hours on board games like Monopoly or Scrabble. And it’s a great way for parents and children to bond over this game too.

Merge Cube

This cool looking cube reminds me of a Rubik’s cube, only it’s a much cooler cube. Holding a MERGE cube in hand is like holding a hologram when you connect it to an app. There are free and paid apps to go with this cube and children can explore a wide variety of topics from dinosaurs to the expansive world of Minecraft.

Some schools even use this as an educational tool to help students learn math, science, anatomy and engineering.

This is suitable for children from age five and above.

Happy Gifting

I hope you like these gift ideas for your children. They are suitable for both boys and girls alike, and from a young age and may even fascinate us adults.

There’s much joy to gifting to our loved ones, especially when they love their gifts and make use of them.

Gifting should not replace anything we feel they are short of. In fact, most of our children would rather have us spend quality time with them than to have a new toy. Thus, we shall do gifting consciously and as a special treat to our little ones.

If you are in a season of gifting, then there’s more gift ideas coming up for you soon. Stay tuned to Mamahood for more great and fun ideas and sharing.
